OpenClaw includes the bird skill — a Twitter CLI tool for reading tweets, searching, viewing timelines, checking trending topics, and posting. Combined with cron jobs and webhooks, you can build a fully automated Twitter news pipeline.

Key Use Cases

  • Daily AI news digest: Auto-collect trending AI tweets every morning and push to Feishu/Discord
  • Topic tracking: Follow a hot topic for a week, daily summaries automatically delivered
  • Official account monitoring: Watch @AnthropicAI, @OpenAI for major announcements, auto-translate to Chinese
  • Content research: Search high-engagement tweets and save to Notion for content planning

Quick Start

Tell OpenClaw:

Set up a daily cron job at 9am:
1. Use bird to search AI trending tweets from the last 24 hours
2. Filter for high-engagement main posts
3. Send a digest to my Feishu group via webhook
4. Skip if no qualifying content found

Important Notes

  • Posting tweets carries ban risk — use a test account first
  • Keep scraping frequency at max once per hour to avoid Twitter rate limits
  • bird can't fetch follower counts — maintain a manual list of accounts or use Twitter Lists
  • Add deduplication logic to avoid repeated notifications
